Positive Leaps offers a structured, therapeutic environment designed specifically for young children with behavioral or emotional challenges. We provide three distinct levels of care, each designed to support the unique needs of every child.

Full-Day Pediatric Day Treatment Program
Our Regular Day Treatment is an 8-hour per day, 5-day per week program. This program is a CARF-accredited program for child and youth services (PHP-level of care). It provides a structured environment similar to a daycare, offering specialized pediatric services.
We provide:
- Licensed mental health professionals trained in child behavioral interventions
- High staff-to-child ratio
- Daily updates about your child’s progress
Our skilled child behavioral specialists provide expert guidance to help your child develop positive skills and behaviors.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Children who are assessed by our professional therapist may be assigned to our Intensive Outpatient (IOP) program. This specialized day treatment program near you is for children aged 3 to 8, and occurs 3 times per week, for 3 hours per day.
Children who attend either our Regular Day Treatment or the Intensive Outpatient Program will benefit from:
- Licensed mental health professionals trained in child behavioral interventions
- High staff-to-children ratio
- Weekly family therapy, with parent coaching

Child, Adolescent, and Teen Mental Health Therapy
We provide ongoing therapy for children and teens aged 3 to 18 years. Our licensed therapists will help your child or teenager continue to develop their social and emotional skills, overcome behavioral challenges, and improve their mental health.
We also provide early intervention strategies that can help prevent future challenges such as substance use, anxiety, or depression as your child grows into adolescence.
Family counseling sessions are included to provide parents and guardians with the skills to support their child’s development.

Family Counseling
Family therapy sessions are included with child and teen therapy to enable parents and guardians to support their child’s development. These family sessions are designed for parents of children aged 3 through 18 years old.
